The Departments

01

Chassis and Aerodynamics

As the Chassis and Bodyworks EV team, we are tasked with creating a space frame chassis tailored for an EV powertrain. Our main aim to create a robust structure capable of housing all components whilst also protecting and keeping the driver safe. We hope to submit a successful class at Silverstone with the hope of manufacturing it in the near future.

03

High Voltage Systems

The HV systems department is responsible for designing, simulating and testing the high-voltage battery powering the car, the safety circuits, wiring and battery management system associated to it. It is also in charge of developing the casing protecting the cells and the cooling system ensuring high-performance and safety to the car.

05

Suspension

The suspension helps ensure that your drive is safe and smooth by absorbing the energy from various road bumps and other kinetic impacts.

02

Drivetrain

We transfer power from the battery into the wheels, as efficiently as possible. There are very few differences between us and IC Powertrain.

04

Low Voltage Systems

The EV low voltage systems team takes charge of designing and implementing the dashboard as well as safety circuits. They are responsible for creating an intuitive and informative dashboard interface that provides essential real-time data for the driver, while also managing safety circuits that play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of both the vehicle and the driver during racing events. This includes implementing features like emergency shut-off systems and other safety protocols to uphold the highest standards of reliability and protection in the electric race car.
